boss takes the poker-style mechanics of balatro and the suit abilities of the card game regicide. players have to look at their hand, decide whether the hand they can play will deal enough damage, or if they can afford to discard cards, losing health in the process, to get a better hand. the randomized boss ability takes away a suit's power, and along with the two jokers, the player's strategies can change each time they play.
