SAMURAI SPIRIT

Genre: Auto-scrolling roguelike.

Problem Statement: Can you make a stamina-based action game where your character can’t stop moving?

Solution: Samurai Spirit is a roguelike where the goal is to defeat waves and waves of enemies while managing your stamina gauge. Your wounded character moves forward automatically, tiring himself out, and every attack reduces the stamina further. You have to choose when to rest and when to move forward despite being surrounded. As you move forward, you collect new weapons that help you manage to expanding crowds of enemies.

The game was developed solo over the course of one week, using the Unity game engine.
