HUNTING GROUNDS

Problem Statement: Can you make a tense 1 v 1 game where the players must hunt each other down before fighting, inspired by The Revenant?

Solution: In Hunting Grounds, your goal is to find and kill the other player armed with a bow and a knife. Footprints are left behind as you walk through the snow, showing you where you’ve been, or alerting your opponent to where you are. When you get close to the other player, a fog appears, hiding the prints, and causing a frantic close-ranged battle.

The prototype was a solo project developed in one week in the Unity game engine.
